OUR STORY
How Aid the Children Came to Be
Paul Schneider, President
Paul grew up in Nebraska, then moved to Grand Rapids, MI to attend a 6 year Missionary Aviation Program at Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music. From there, he and his wife joined Baptist Mid-Missions, and in 1985 they went to Ghana, West Africa to serve 3 terms. Paul and his family left the mission in 1999 and shortly after moved to Newnan, Georgia. Paul owns his own business, AG-USA, selling cutting edge fertilizers for farm use. His heart's passion is to serve His Lord. Paul has a strong desire to see children with the HIV virus redeemed back from death, to the Glory of God.
Alyssa Wright, Executive Director
Alyssa grew up in Florida and moved to the Atlanta area in 2003. She has a love for education and taught formally for a few years before going back to school to study International Development at Georgia Tech. That led her to serve with Friends of Refugees and The Global Village Project in Clarkston, GA, the most diverse square mile in the US. There, she came alongside her refugee neighbors to help them take advantage of the educational and employment
resources needed to thrive. This awakened her passion for empowering each person to connect with God and who they were created to be, so that they can also do the same for others. And she is excited to be able to continue to do that as the Executive Director of Aid the Children.
Lilian Lukania, Director of Lilian's Kids
Lilian was born and grew up in Nairobi, Kenya. She is married and blessed with two sons and a daughter. Professionally, she studied Psychology and HIV Management at Kenya Institute of Professional Counselling and later at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. Above all, Lilian is born again and has a personal relationship with Christ. She serves and worships at full gospel churches of Kenya, through singing and hospitality ministry. She loves children; her desire and purpose is to see a child smile. This is why she is grateful to God for allowing her to be part of Aid the Children organization.
Michael Ndeda, Director, Project Vihiga and Kisumu
Born in Vihiga County, he studied at the Technical University of Kenya (formally The Kenya Polytechnic) in Nairobi. Michael worked for National Newspapers Limited for eight years as a Reprographics Technician before moving to Color Creations Ltd., an advertising and printing company as Production Manager. In 2002, he relocated back to Vihiga County to set up Springfields Communication Technologies. 2003 found Michael as a Board Director and secretary for Care Compassion Children's Home where he served for the next fourteen years.
